Organization
My Palace Initiative is a not-for-profit, non-governmental, non-political organization led by a core executive committee and a board of founding members. Our goal is to engage local people and experts in the restoration and reconstruction of ancient palaces in Africa.
At the completion of each restoration, the continuing management and maintenance responsibilities for the palace are given to an independent oversight committee whose members are responsible for the future maintenance of the palace according to established local traditions and agreed upon adaptations.
